Automated Attendant
Auto attendant can answer incoming calls, present callers with customized menu choices and other pre-recorded messages, and route calls based upon caller input. Auto Attendant can answer all incoming calls, only after-hours calls, or pick up if reception doesn't answer within a certain amount of time. Cisco's Call Manager Express offers a truly customizable auto attendant system that can be configured to meet your specific business needs, and help make your operation run more efficiently.
Unified Messaging
The Cisco VoIP Phone System for small business can forward voicemail as .wav attachments to an email account. This allows users to get voicemail messages anywhere they can get email (on a mobile phone, at home, etc). It also makes it easy to store and/or forward important voicemail messages as required. When checking voicemail on the phone in the traditional format, Cisco VoIP phones offer a graphical display that allows users to scroll through messages along with caller ID information. This frees users from the need to listen and respond to voicemail in a linear format, and instead prioritize their attention on the messages that are of most critical importance first.
PC Companion Software
Companion software is available for Cisco IP Business Phone Systems that integrate the PC and phone experience by allowing users to click-to-dial from their contact list, receive caller-ID pop-ups, see which co-workers are on the phone, and more.
Supporting Software
A number of industry specific productivity products are
available that integrate with Cisco IP phones. These productivity suites provide
additional functionality to your Cisco IP phones such as clock-in/clock-out,
scheduling, client management, call recording, product ordering, dial-out
reminders, patient/client check-in, advertising, client matter tracking for
phone-time billing or tracking, and more.
Scaleability
The Cisco Unified Communications 500 series system for Small Business is scaleable so it will grow with your business. For example, the system can support up to 106 VoIP phones per site. The system is based on the universally accepted Cisco IOS and offers tremendous customization potential.

Secure Wireless LAN (WLAN)
The Cisco Small Business Unified Communications System includes wireless access in the base package. Additional APs can be added as needed to extend coverage to larger facilities. Of course, Cisco uses the latest wireless security methods so you can trust that your Wi-Fi network is not a weak point in your network security, as it is with many consumer grade wireless systems.
Remote Workers
The Cisco Small Business Solution offers secure VPN services that allow remote workers to connect to the company network. Since the phone system is based upon Voice over IP, this allows remote workers to have a company phone at their remote location in addition to being able to access company network resources.
Network Storage
Cisco Network Storage Servers help to protect your valuable company data. Rather than saving company data on a PC based server, the Network Storage Server is an independent RAID array dedicated to the purpose of storing and securing valuable company data against unauthorized access or losses due to hard drive failures.
Network Security
Network Security is often overlooked by small businesses, but can cost a great deal if left unchecked. Cisco Small Business Systems employ the latest security measures to protect your network from a variety of security threats. Active packet scanning checks all data coming in and out of the network for malicious content. Web filtering maintains a database of known malicious web sites and blocks access by your users so that they do not accidentally compromise your company's security by falling for a spoofing web site or other malicious web content. And, the latest encryption methods protect against hackers that may try to penetrate your network.
